Chapter II – God goes A.W.O.L.

          Having the life and feeling of a life without purpose and reason is what is making me ill all day at my work. “Why am I here? This is like the last place I should be.”      Doing something which makes one feel sick all the time and lose weight with the constant stressful thought of wanting to get out of there at that second.

            God speaks to us in many different ways, one of the most common ways I feel is knowing a sense of imminent frustration, stress, anxiety, and constant sadness, which would be a good sure sign its time to get out of Dodge.

            So then one day you decide to leave your job, feeling that God is telling you to move on that He has something better or different for you to do more tailor made to how He made you.

So you leave and then...

            Nothing happens, so now what, and what was do you think God trying to tell you, why would you have on your Heart that God was leading you to move on to something else?! Now your in a fix, no money, Bills mounting up, you felt with all your Heart trusting in God and now your in the worst situation of your life ever!

Why am I in this Situation?!

            You’re here because you made a choice to listen to that inner voice that was telling you to move on from this place. It might have been your Job Career choice, the College University you choose to attend, the Community you chose to live in or the group of Friends you have.

            It doesn’t work out as you had hoped, the Faith you have is faltering and you are starting to wonder different possibilities, “Was it God I was listening to, not myself and my own dissatisfaction, or satan?”

            Now you really begin to panic and have doubt and regret about your choice, perhaps there was good reason to move on, the Job required you to be dishonest and you felt you weren’t honoring God in it. Your Co-workers were abusive, the Job was dangerous and you had enough. You were inclined towards the Mathematical Analytical side and you took Social Studies but this didn’t dawn on you until half way through your first or second Semester.

So the days, weeks then eventually months go my and still you have no idea of what happens next. God seems distant and silent to you, Prayer doesn’t seem to help, its like praying to air and God isn’t listening any more.

So this is basically where I am, I don’t know what is happening, I thought I was doing what |God wanted me to do, to leave my place of Employment. Although truthfully, I didn’t leave in the best of ways, words were exchanged, my former Boss is a bit crazy and I should have taken that into account.

“Perhaps I Cursed myself by the way I left,” is what I told myself since then on several occasions since then. “Perhaps it was satan telling me to leave, pretending to be God.” Now this really disturbs me as it would mean that I cannot discern the difference between God and satan. But then I ask myself, would God want me to continue in a place were I was being dishonest with the people they did work for, activities which would amount to fraud or possibly Jail time if caught.

Well here I am, in a real fix, no money because I have no Job and from my perspective I don’t see how I would be able to fix this.

I did take a Temp Job through an Employment agency, which paid half of what I was making before, less hours and the sift was late evenings and ended at 1:45 AM. It was heart breaking, honest honorable work, but heartbreaking as it kept me from regularly attending a Church group I was a part of as well a few other Church related activities.

It ended as there was a start time conflict with Work, and Family. My wife and I had arranged with a neighbor who was nice enough to be able to pick-up my Daughter at the Bus stop so I wouldn’t be late for work, but they had their own schedule and were not reliable. There was no one else to fill this role so I was back to unemployment.

Applied for Employment Insurance and six weeks in, still nothing, Government cutbacks at the Service Canada. Less Staff workers to process EI applications to there is a major backlog of delays. It should only take a maximum of 28 days, so they say, even told me someone would contact me before Christmas Eve.

Christmas rolled around and I wasn’t even able to afford a Gift for my Daughter. I was furious, I was so mad at God for not answering my Prayers, giving me a little Grace here.

“How could you allow this God, I know I screwed up, perhaps I shouldn’t have left that Job or perhaps I should have figured out another alternative for my Daughter. Lord Jesus please Father God Forgive me for  messing up again and again and again, please God give me another chance! Give me Grace so that I can support my Family and at least give my Daughter a Christmas!”

So I have it all to God, felt good, assured, had peace of mind on this issue. “yea, God is testing me, He will come through at the Eleventh Hour like He has before, it’s a Faith test, Praise God!”

I re-affirmed my Heart with my Church, reacquainted myself with the area of Tithing, two areas, my Church and Tithing have been struggles for me in the past. Told myself, ”Yea, God is about to do something incredible soon!” So I gave my last bit on money I had, all of it, feeling in my Heart that God will honor my Tithe and how He is about to break down this Financial stronghold issue in my life, so I might as well give what I had left to God.

11:59 PM, December 24^th

            Broke, no Christmas Gift for my Seven Year old Daughter, what the heck!

            I trusted in you God, even gave the money I had left to my Church, “I could have used that to at least get a Gift for my Daughter.” Now I am beyond furious, I am totally Heartbroken, now my Faith is wavering like never before, so much so I am even contemplating Suicide.

            I feel Suicide is a very selfish act, why do that to others, they would have to still go on spending the rest of their lives in regret, not being there or doing enough or listening or whatever. My Daughter and how she would grow up with this stigma on her, what it would take away from her and how it would negatively effect her character and future. And the big reason, “would I go to Hell?” Or at least, loose some eternal Blessings in Heaven that come from enduring to the Final End Conclusion.

            So having now a wavering Faith, not knowing what to do or how to Pray anymore, regretting the choice that brought all this about. If I had of just told myself, “Hey, who cares, it’s a Job that pays well, so.” I’d not be in this Financial situation, I’d feel like crap, saddened, feel sick and depressed all the time, but I feel this way now. Only difference is that I don’t feel guilty or knowing I was committing fraud towards others right in front if God’s own eyes.

            So I’m still waiting on God, writing this Book as I don’tknow what else to do besides giving it all to Him. I want to at least do somethingproductive. I am more inclined towards the Artistic side of things, see here www.jbjon.comhttp://jbjon.com. But my Wife sees Art as only a Hobby and not a real possible Career choice, just something I do to escape my responsibilities and not something that will help the Family as a hole.

There is some truth to that, it is an escape, its right now the only, in my mind, productive activity were I complete all I start. But I’ll go back to this later in the Book.

“God won’t put more on you than you can bear.” I believe this, or I think I do. But how much can I bear, that is what concerns me.

1 Peter 5:7 “cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you”

Ordoes no put more on us then we can bear so that we might being our problems toHim and have more reliance on Him who Loves us all, as Paul writes in a letterof his own experiences with the Corinthians.

Jesus's Open Door

Jesus is calling us to enter through His open door of Blessings, if we only listen, do God’s Will and follow Him and His ways.

                I wish to be able to do a better Job at taking care of my Family, know my purpose, the Purpose God has for me in mind and know how and where to use the Artistic or other Gifts God has given me.

Perhaps God has already opened to door and all along Jesus has been holding it open for me, waiting for me to enter. But we don’t, perhaps I am afraid to because of what He would ask me to do, something outside of my comfort zone. Something that I don’t have an interest in doing.

Matthew 16 v 24 - Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

God calls on us to give everything, not just what we want to give or only what we are comfortable giving, not being in control of, but everything. To trust in God with all our cares, all our problems and situations, our family, our jobs and finances, or lack there of. To fully trust in Him and not worry about; how will I pay my Bills, how will I get work if I don’t have Gas to put into my car to get to work, what I will eat, or what will I eat and put gas into my car and pay for food and gas and support my family if I don’t have money to do these things.

How to recognize God’s open door and go through them.

Isaiah 22 - A prophecy against the Valley of Vision: What troubles you now, that you have all gone up on the roofs, 2 you town so full of commotion, you city of tumult and revelry? Your slain were not killed by the sword,  nor did they die in battle. 3 All your leaders have fled together;  they have been captured without using the bow. All you who were caught were taken prisoner together,  having fled while the enemy was still far away. 4 Therefore I said, “Turn away from me;  let me weep bitterly. 20 “In that day I will summon my servant, Eliakim son of Hilkiah. 21 I will clothe him with your robe and fasten your sash around him and hand your authority over to him. He will be a father to those who live in Jerusalem and to the people of Judah. 22 I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. 23 I will drive him like a peg into a firm place; he will become a seat[a] of honor for the house of his father. 24 All the glory of his family will hang on him: its offspring and offshoots—all its lesser vessels, from the bowls to all the jars.

25 “In that day,” declares the Lord Almighty, “the peg driven into the firm place will give way; it will be sheared off and will fall, and the load hanging on it will be cut down.” The Lord has spoken.

We are in our own situations so that we will learn to call on Him. Although difficult, almost near death in feeling sometimes, our Circumstances and Situations are not unique. All of us have gone through own trials and Tribulations through life, that is why its is important to be apart of a Church group with fellow Christian, Jesus following, believers. To not be alone and most importantly, to put God first and His Church, to be a Blessing in whatever good and Godly way to Him and His Church and our fellow Christian Brothers and Sisters.

Call on Him in all Situations and Circumstances good or bad, feel Blessed during the Trials and Tribulations, as this is when you grow closer to Him if you desire it. Your Faith grows too as He will test us during these times to see how we react.

God wants us to get on our knees and Pray to Him. To ask of Him our Hearts desire, how we might end or the solution to fix this, all the wile, trusting in Him who sent His only Son Christ Jesus to take our Sin and became Sin Himself who was sinless so that we may not die in Sin.

Although these Situations and Circumstances are most likely our own fault, God uses these times for us to develop Godly Character and Faith. It is also were our current existing character and faith is revealed for what it is. Realizing that our own comfort must come second to God and His purpose for us as well to come second to our Families. We are to be stewards of our Families ( steward def: someone who looks after the affairs and well being of the Kings people who the king trusts to do so.)

What do we do what that Open Door?

What is our mindset, our own addenda, is it about serving God and others, or is it about ourselves? Are we focusing too much on ourselves?

Do we have Faith that God will show up in His right and perfect appointed time, to trust in Him that His time is not our time and His ways are not our ways, and that event, a most seemingly impossible situation or circumstance from His perspective is the equivalent of flicking a grain of dirt out of the way, Oh Ye of little Faith! Oh me of little Faith!

What is our character of who we are right now, to we trust in Him or do we continue to live in fear and doubt that He even cares, or has abandoned us to our own selves. This is the Faith and Character revelation test that your, our, or my Faith and Character which is being tested.

Consider your Trials and Tribulations a good thing, let those who never seem to have any problems, circumstances or situations have this time, this is their time, their World. Satan leaves them alone as he knows he has them already so why bother them, a Kingdom can’t stand divided in itself. If you live a uneventful seemingly perfect life, then you need to be very, very worried about where you are headed to in the here-after!

But then Jesus steps in and uses it for good, to test you and me, to become more Faithful, more Godly, less worldly dependent on worldly things, more trusting in Him in all things and to put Him first in every thing. To be the trusted Stewards of what He entrusts us to look after be it Family, our Church, Friends and other material or financial blessings.

God has things He wants us to do, firstly; Put Him first, trust in Him and to follow Jesus as our Lord and Savior. To care for His Church and all those in it, and to be stewards over our Family and other Loved ones. Friends come second from Family as our responsibilities for our family must come before the needs of friends. And then to be a Godly Christian example in our work place or our self employment profession, to be a light to others showing how Christians are to conduct themselves interacting with others in the workplaces, or our classrooms, or anywhere else.

So considering all this we either can or cannot go through Gods open door for us if we are, or are not fully right with Him or at the least making forward moving efforts towards Gods desire what we are all to be, Faithful, Godly, Trusting, without Sin, Responsible and with a Heart that is right with Him.

So go and lookin the mirror and ask yourselves, “Who am I?”, “do I have ‘Patient Endurance’?”and “do I or am I getting my Heart right with God?”

Giving to the Storehouse

Call it Gods House, or Storehouse or Gods clearing house.

 

We all need to get right with God this year in our own way. After some lengthy heart searching and online research I know now for certain that Tithing to God is giving to the Church and that anything above your %10 is an offering to the least of us, i.e. single mother, or elderly, etc.

 

Doesn't matter what the Church does with it, it is Gods so its isn't your concern and wont effect you what happens with that %10 since it isn't yours in the first place.

 

I gave my last amount of $ a few weeks ago, all of it, just to see what would happen.

Nothing happened...   YET!

 

I think most of us give up on Tithing regularly because what Gods Word says, doesn't always match up with what happens, as I experience and what others say.

Perhaps its a further test to see if we continue giving from our little we already have especially during financial difficulties, character building.

Where is God Lately?

               I think God has cut me off for any number of reasons. I am not the best Christian, I mess up a lot, sometimes when it seems like God is telling me to do something an I do it, things then go from bad to worse.

                My last full time job was killing me emotionally and spiritually, there was no integrity there, the working conditions were dangerous and parts of the job required me to commit fraud.

                So after an unfortunate exchange of words with my Boss, which I started I was either fired or I quit, its hard to say. But at least my conscious was cleared after then. I know it shouldn’t have ended that way so I would call it a dark mark I put on Gods plan, it was His plan.

                Its been 3 months now, EI has run out and only have been working part time in Jobs that pay half of what I was making before per hour. I reapplied for EI and still nothing. Last Sunday I have my Tithe, I’m not a regular Tither but I did it anyways. The 10 percent worked out to being the last of all the money I had left, and Christmas is coming, so in faith I gave trusting in what the Church teaches is true and that God will honor my giving to Him by helping me out here.

                And now here I am, and nothing, I had to scrounge around the house looking for loose change just so that I could buy Milk for my 7 year old Daughter. I believe 100 percent what the Bible says and what God’s Word says about giving from what little you  already have, I am just in doubt about weather or not what the Church tells us about Tithing is Biblical.

                After reading an article on the Subject of Tithing, I guess God’s time is not always our time so perhaps this continual lack afterwards is a further test to see what I do and how I react. I will continue to have Faith in God and that Jesus came to earth and died for all our Sins and rose from the grave 3 days later .

                So letssee from here what happens…
